About Marissa
I am a wife, mother, grandmother, multimedia professional and businessperson. Like many of my generation, I have lived and worked through tremendous change — from print to digital, landlines to smartphones, and working remotely across time zones for a global technology company long before COVID made it commonplace. Through it all, I have learned that change is inevitable, but how we respond and adapt to it matters.
My career has taken me through journalism, photography, marketing, law, First Nations and municipal government environments, giving me the opportunity to work with people from many different backgrounds and perspectives. My education includes a Bachelor of Legal Studies and a Certificate in Municipal Government Administration.
I am running for Peachland Council because our community is also facing change. Growth, infrastructure, water, transportation, economic opportunity and the needs of an evolving population require thoughtful planning while protecting what makes Peachland special.
I will listen, ask questions, research the issues and consider different perspectives, but ultimately make my own informed decisions based on what I believe best serves Peachland and its residents.
I am ready to bring my experience and independent approach to the Council table, and I respectfully ask for your vote on October 17.

A stronger local economy
Peachland needs more opportunities for businesses to start, grow and succeed year-round, creating a more vibrant community for residents and visitors alike.
A community that is heard
Residents deserve to be informed, understand not only the issues but also the process, and have meaningful opportunities to be heard before important decisions are made.
Responsible, well-planned growth
Growth is inevitable, but it must be thoughtful and managed. Existing infrastructure – water, sewer, roads and mobility – must be considered alongside new development. Peachland comes first.
A strong voice for Peachland
Many of the projects and challenges affecting Peachland involve other levels of government. We need strong, persistent advocacy to ensure our community’s needs and priorities are heard.
I believe Peachland can protect what we love about our community while planning confidently for its future. I believe Peachland’s future should be something we build together.
